No twisted condition, however complex, is impossible for God to fix. (Matthew 12:22-23)
Today’s lesson is going to be short and straightforward. Most of Jesus’ recorded miracles applied to cases that were impossible for men to fix. But in today’s text, we see a man who was not only tormented by demons (probably insanity) but was also blind and couldn’t speak. All on one man. 😥 It was indeed a complex situation. And what can we draw from this miracle? We find from this that, no matter how battered or shattered someone’s life might be, God can still fix them up. Furthermore, God is still in the business of fixing people up. He asked Abraham, “Is anything too hard for the LORD?” – Genesis 18:14. Then, He also asked Jeremiah, saying, “I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for Me?” – Jeremiah 32:27.
Now, let’s bring this home. Do you find your life in shambles, broken and battered? Are you in a desperate need for God to fix you up? Maybe you’ve been praying and hoping for a change, yet nothing has happened. Also, maybe you do not even know how to pray. God has asked me to put this write-up together just for you, and He has directed you to this site to read it. This is a sign that He is interested in fixing up every area of your life that needs fixing. All you need to do is to open up your heart to receive Him. And do not doubt the ability of God to turn your entire life around with just a single post. Jesus said, “The things that are impossible with people are possible with God.” (Luke 18:27) God will meet all your expectations. Keep trusting Him.

I was around 5 when, I am strongly convinced, I first heard the distinct voice of God. But, not until I was 11 (2002) did I have a personal encounter with Him. I was in my room that night, about to pray before bed, when I saw a revelation of how filthy my heart was. I didn't argue with God that I was too young to have such amount of filth ('cause I believed I was a 'good boy,' by human standards, at least). I simply cried uncontrollably in brokenness of heart - "The sacrifice you desire is a broken spirit. You will not reject a broken and repentant heart, O God" (Psalm 51:17) - and He didn't.
Still crying uncontrollably, I left my room and went to the living room, where my parents were watching the nightly news on TV. After I managed to tell them about the revelation I saw, my sweet mum took me to her room and led me to Christ. I got saved that night. And 6 years later, I discovered my purpose and assignment on earth, which is raising up men and women to be godly, and teaching them the simplicity of Christianity. More than a decade later, I am still fulfilling that purpose to His glory. Hallelujah!
